The following performance organizations can be booked through Odellian Productions.

Pat's Bands:

November 2008, ---  Brass From The Past featuring the music of the horn bands of history.  Chicago, Blood, Sweat and Tears, some jazz, some swing, lots 'o rock.  6 Horns, 4 vocalists, 4 piece rhythm section.  Very hot new band just did it's debut.  Look for a bunch more from these folks.

Blues Syndrome featuring Matt McElhinny on Guitar and vocals,  Dave Eberhardt on Bass and Vocals, Mick Heberling on Drums, and yours truly on Vocals (yes vocals) Saxes and Flute.

The Pat Odell Group   Progressive Jazz Quartet, features Pat on Saxes and Flute.

Swing Nouveau Big Band Swing ala Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Brian Setzer's late 1990's popularization.  11 horns, 3 vocalists plus rhythm section. Very Dance oriented big band.  For parties this band has been known to do the occasional polka.

Mr Lucky Syndicate Wow this band is fantastic.  Jerome Becker runs it and is a remarkable man.  A successfull lawyer, plays sax, guitar, keyboards, sings, arranges all the charts (hundreds in their library), organizes things such the the gigs a a piece of cake, books the band like crazy, and a really nice guy at that.

The band does a huge variety of music, there are 6 horns, keys, bass, guitar, drums and Chad (vocalist), plus Jerry.  Chad is a monster on the lead vocals.  He is a dynamic and exciting vocalist who has a huge amount of soul and absolutely nails the stuff.

Playing Doctor, Blues rock featuring the vocals of Lisa Faye.  The band gets it's name from the fact that the bassist (David Faye) and the drummer (Ken Schelhase) are both doctors (medical) and, thus, are doctors playing.

The Big Lake All Stars (AKA The Jim Yorgan Sextet), Hot Jazz Sextet.  Hot Jazz with really interesting arrangements from the like of Gordon Goodwin, Dan Higgins, Pat Odell, and others.  Titles range from straight ahead tunes like All of Me and Four to pop oriented items (One, Arthur's Theme) but the even the hokiest tune gets an interesting treatment from this group.  Every arrangement has a twist.  Jim Yorgan is on the Acoustic Bass and leads the band.  Joe Kennedy and Dave Sturino alternate on keys.  Mick Heberling does the drums.  Tom Meredith wails on trumpet and fluegel horn.  Dave Ferguson and Ken Eschmann have been sharing the Trombone book.  I do Alto, Tenor, Soprano and Flute.  Real blast of a band and enough flexibility that we could play your wedding reception and then play the next day at a hard core jazz festival.

The Jack Plavonich/Tim Bell Big Band Similar to Swing Nouveau but more 'Jazz' and experimental big band oriented.  Lots of compositions and arrangments from cats at North Texas State U plus a mixture of commercial big band from the 60s and 70s (Buddy Rich, Kenton, Thad Jones, etc.)

White Swan and Ivy 10 piece party band, very versatile.  300 pieces on tap ranging from Santana to  Garth Brooks, The Commodores to Glen Miller, plus light jazz can be provided for background music for dinner parties etc.  4 Horns, 4 vocalists, rhythm section.  Horn highlights with smoking vocal harmonies.

The UW Parkside Reunion Big Band Big Band playing Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman and other later day popular big bands.  Very Jazz oriented as opposed to dance oriented.

The Jazz Wave Big Band, Antioch, Il based big band.  Very jazz oriented, often pushing the experimental side of things.
